Original artwork t-shirt of MNI WICONI, water is sacred. This shirt is being sold to help support the water protectors on the Standing Rock Reservation.
FRONT DESIGN- splashing water in a circle with a feather, and MNI WICONI, Lakota for water is sacred.
BACK DESIGN- the teepee is the same design as the Standing Rock Reservation logo, with a water reflection and "Water is Life". Back design is approximately 4 inches by 3 inches, on the upper, center back.
I have been wanting to find a way to support the water protectors, and I decided to help do some fundraising. All proceeds (minus expenses) of every shirt sold will be donated to the Water Protectors. (approximately $14 each). Most other selling shirts are only donating 10%, approximately $1-$3 for each shirt sale.
As of Sunday, Dec. 4th, 2016 the DAPL pipeline access has been denied, but funds are still going to be needed to support those in camp continuing to watch the pipeline, and any cleanup when people being to leave.
Some people have asked why I didn't put the english interpretation on the front. One, to pay respect to those leading this fight. Two, hopefully when wearing the shirt people will ask what it means, and it will give you the opportunity to educate them.
The design is printed on a heather plum, heather kelly green, new silver (grey), and heather vintage green american apparel poly blend t-shirt, ( poly-cotton, 50% polyester, 50% combed cotton).
Women's Cut-Heather Black- fitted, with a scoop neck and cap sleeve. These will not shrink and tend to run small. A size 5 woman, would wear a medium.
First thing people compliment about the shirts are the softness.
